Who We Are

Our name, ForgetMeNot International, is a plea on behalf of orphans everywhere to focus the attention of the global community to their plight, to take positive actions to address their needs, and to secure their successful present and future.

Our vision is to promote empathy, dialogue and action through facilitating the educational and cultural dialogue between orphans and the global community. This mutual exchange establishes that the orphans and global community will be strengthened and enlightened to live positively and peacefully as a whole.

Our guiding principles
ForgetMeNot International is committed to:
	creating a vision of what is possible for orphans.
	developing a culture of opportunities for orphans.
	promoting a sense of community belonging amongst orphans.
	a child-centred, child rights-based approach to decision-making, planning, implementation and advocacy, whereby decisions are made in the best interests of the children and involve their constructive participation.
	addressing the needs of the whole child.
	providing local and global support services to children that are strength-based and culturally appropriate.
	promoting high quality education for all children in the orphanage.
	promoting health, wellness, and psychosocial support for all children in the orphanage.

	establishing new connections and building coalitions with diverse local and global partners and service providers so that orphanages may be strengthened.
	developing a comprehensive, integrated network of services that support all orphans with respect to our mission.
