This is a definitive moment in the history of Afghanistan. The international community must play its part to ensure that this period remains one of hope and opportunity. More than 30 years of armed conflict has devastated much of Afghanistan, creating what is now one of the poorest countries in the world.
The deteriorating security situation and collapse of state infrastructure has left large sections of the population without access to basic services.
Most Afghans do not have sufficient food, water or even shelter while an estimated 60-80 per cent of the Afghans live on less than US $ 1 a day. Serious human rights violations, substantial environmental damage and large-scale displacement of people also contribute to Afghanistan’s growing poverty and insecurity. And it is children who have suffered the most. Your money will be spent directly on the needs of the orphans.
We achieve measurable success not only as a direct consequence of donations, but also by working with local partners in the field, effective management in the field, and through our commitment to sustainability and effectively measuring the outcomes our work.

Please be sure to tell us the name of the person the gift is in honor or memory of, and the name(s) of the person(s) you would like us to notify about your generous gift.
At this time, we do not accept material goods. Packing and transporting materials donations is very costly as taxes and customs also add up. These expenses are counterproductive to our limited overhead and low operational costs.
By purchasing the materials the orphanage needs in the region, the local economy will stimulated and our operational costs will be kept low, allowing us to spend your donation on actual supplies, maximizing the effect of your monetary contribution. |
